YazBerry Bags Featured in "All Things Fashion" Fashion Show

Last night at District Lounge in Boston, The Fashion Reporter virtual Magazine and Fashion Evolution Productions held a fashion show featuring pieces from the fall collections of Vivienne Tam, Tibi, MNG Mango, Vera Wang and Rebecca Taylor. I was invited to pair some of my YazBerry Purses with designs by Vivienne Tam and Tibi.

Thank you David Raphael of Fashion Evolution Productions for inviting me to participate and Priscilla Monteiro of The Fashion Reporter for selecting two of my purses to accessorize the designs on the runway!

I documented the event from the behind the scenes preparation to the final fashion show! Lots of fun and here are the pictures for your enjoyment!

H&M (surprise) Fashion Show at Under Bar

Friday I went on a date to Under Bar in Boston and we happened upon (surprise) a H&M fashion show. Who knew. Pleasant chance encounter. I can't seem to find pictures online, however the standout piece was this short fitted olive green dress with gathering in unique places and distinct lines. It was topped with a billowing ivory scarf that looked so light and fluffy. It was the most stand out piece of the collection, and is one I would consider buying.

My date and I agreed however that the best part of the show was the hairstyles. Whomever designed and did the hair was very talented and deserves mad kudos. One particular up do was classic and elegant with large pinned curls of blonde hair, deliciously accented with blue curls and some blue strands as well.

New York Isn't the Only Place with a Garment District

It has been a long, challenging personal debate as to whether I should divulge a vintage shopping secret or keep it all to my self...due to the sheer size of this vintage shopping secret, I am confident there is enough to go around...so I guess I will share.

Ladies and Gentleman, Boys and Girls, sit back in your seats and get comfortable, for what I am about to unveil could change your life forever. The mother load, the Mecca of all vintage Mecca's, the cat's meow. Dear Gentles, allow me to introduce to you: The Garment District in Kendall Square in Cambridge, MA. Think TJMaxx for size and variety, only clear the racks of all of the new clothes and fill them with vintage clothing as far as the eye can see.

Now keep that image in focus and brace yourselves for something even greater...this weekend and this weekend only, The Garment District is having a store wide 50% off sale!!! That is 50% off of EVERYTHING!! That's right, you heard me correctly. Now if you are in the Boston area, or a reasonable 1 hour drive from it, you really should take a little trip to The Garment District this weekend. You won't be sorry!

P.S. Almost as cool as the store wide 50% off sale, is that the following day they clear every single item of clothing off of their racks and restock the entire store with a fresh supply of vintage goodness!

NOTE: The above image is from http://www.garmentdistrict.com and was found there on August 1, 2008.

Boston Handmade Art Fair in Union Square

This past weekend I stumbled upon a wonderful Art Fair in Union Square which I found by way of the events page on www.Etsy.com. It was held by Boston Handmade "a collection of Boston area artists, artisans, & craftspeople with shops on etsy.com ~ all handmade all the time". What talented artists. I can honestly say I liked something at every booth. And the ATM was so close by...don't worry, I was good and only treated myself to some earrings by Glamourpuss!

Please check out these great Etsy.com artists, they are very skilled at what they do and many have very unique products and styles I haven't seen before (so I can guess you too may not have seen before).
