A glimpse at my jewelry design process. It starts with an idea, in this case a suggestion from my Facebook fans to make "Fall" earrings. I pulled out some beads and elements in autumnal colors and started playing around with them.
Once I got the idea I move on to assembly. I cut tiny, fluttery leaves out of leather, salvaged some vintage bead components, and strung these all up on new brass finished hooks and wire. Enjoy!

Handmade Card Holder Giveaway!
FREE GIVEAWAY!!!
I promised you giveaways all month and all December too! Here is the next one, in time for the holiday for giving thanks. I love these because they are very sustainable in design. I keep all of my scraps 1 inch and bigger and use them in projects all the time. These super useful card holders are made completely from scrap fabric. Talk about reduce, reuse, recycle!
Crazy quilts were the first thing I learned how to sew when I was a child. My grandmother had a delightful scrap fabric bag (favorite toy) which she would let us kids rummage through and she taught us to assemble crazy quilts!
Three lucky winners will be mailed a handmade card holder. I actually carry one in my purse all the time as they are perfect for business cards. I've also used them when I go out dancing and don't want to carry a purse as they are perfect for ID, Credit Card and a little cash!
(Click on the pictures to view them larger)
The first is: Crayon
Plaid shorts, super hero stripes, t-shirt trimmings and jeans. Mix them all together in a crazy quilt and you get a wallet or business card holder!

The second is: Superhero
Super hero stripes, cape, t-shirt trimmings and jeans. Mix them all together in a crazy quilt and you get a wallet or business card holder!

The third is: Blue
Some curtains, upholstery, t-shirt trimmings, table linens and a cable knit sweater. Mix them all together in a crazy quilt and you get a wallet or business card holder!

Not a fan of the card holders I'm giving away? I can make card holders in any fabric, crazy quilt, not crazy quilt, with lace, buttons etc. Please send me a message at berry {at} yazberry {dot} com if you would like to place a custom order. These retail for $14.

I'm Starting the Giving Early!
FREE GIVEAWAY!
Since November is the month for giving thanks and December is the month for giving, I've decided to give away a bunch of YazBerry goodies! In November & December I'm going to give away something each week.
Maybe it will be a gift or stocking stuffer for someone special on your list. Maybe it will be a treat for you!
Today's giveaway is a set of 6 handmade wine glass charms to two lucky winners!!! There are two sets available.
I like to call these jewelry for your dinner table. They are made with designer color combinations and metal and glass beads. You can use them on wine glass stems and you can also use them as a napkin ring or in a decorative table setting. Be creative!
I always keep a set on my wine glasses. Here they are chilling in my cabinet to give you an idea of what they look like in use!
The first set up for giveaway today is Golden Dragonflies and Butterflies. It features 3 gold toned metal butterflies and 3 gold toned metal dragonflies on a gold plastic coated wire (so your stemware won't get scratched). The accent beads are different on each of the six so they can double as identification tags. Colors include: forest green, teal, purple iridescent and gold glass beads.
The second set up for giveaway is Copper Leaf. It features inch long glass leaves in varying shapes and colors with sea glass beads on a copper tone plastic coated wire. Again each is a little different to serve as identification tags. Colors include various shades of blues and greens, some white and pale pink.
In both sets the rings and closures are hand formed. I use the plastic coated wire so your stemware loves you. Each is mounted on a shiny sliver corrugated card stock ready to gift!
Not a fan of either set I have in today's giveaway? Send me a message at berry {at} yazberry {dot} com and I would be happy to make you a custom set in your color scheme. These retail for $18.
